Urban Engagement Session (Photographer’s Take)…
An urban engagement session is unlimited possibilities! Sometimes an entire session can be photographed on one block (Yes! Really!) Light hides everywhere in the city and the range of colors is truly inspiring. Here are just a few things to keep in mind to make your session spectacular.
Plan your outfits accordingly.
Save those heels and sock less loafers for your second outfit of the session and keep your first outfit walking friendly. A light backpack is also a good idea to throw dressy shoes into and water! Couples underestimate how much walking they do. Bring water.
2. Have your route mapped out.
This is especially important is the city is unfamiliar to you and you are going to incorporate multiple locations. Know where your parking garages are and a place to change.
3. Ask for variety.
This is when clear communication with your photographer is important. Do you have ideas? Send a Pinterest board! Urban sessions create unique opportunities for shutter drags shots and rooftop sunsets. There are cute coffee shops and record stores waiting to be explored. How about a Saturday farmer’s market? Let your photographer know and help you craft your vision.
